I REALLY SHOULDN'T BE DOING THIS, BUT I'M GONNA HAVE AN AD FOR IKEA RIGHT NOW.

So what's going on with PROJECT RUNWAY and it's alleged move to LIFETIME??

So, I'm really not liking the sound of this... It should go on the record that I have issues with having to tune to Lifetime to watch, well, anything... I'm a weird gay that way... Maybe it’s more about me than the situation but I don’t feel comfortable with this change yet.  Honestly, it just seems like such a tarnishing of the brand. And like Kelly Ripa was saying the other day, some of the mojo might be lost by this move.  Hmmph.  I’m not feeling it.  I hope this doesn’t cheapen the show.  We'll be following these developments closely.

Remember all that talk about SEAN PENN and ROBIN WRIGHT-PENN breaking it off?!?

Well I'm glad to hear that's no longer the case! Phew! These two divorcing would almost be as devastating as if Posh and Becks were to not work out. Not that I’d ever want to put that energy out into the universe. Heaven forbid!! I would probably die. Unless he left her for me and then I’d be OK with it. In fact, Victoria would probably even be down with that scenario. And we would so be besties!! Wait…who were we talking about again?

So featuring this old magazine cover from last spring is sooo completely gratuitous (I know...), but did y’all catch this magazine cover earlier this year?

There is nothing more that needs to be said. That’s all.

So I have been known to defend CHAVEZ in the past, but this shit is just ridiculous.

Censoring THE SIMPSONS?!? Really?!... He hasn't really bothered me in the past, but I think I'm not officially over CHAVEZ!  Censorship is never a good idea.

So this little ray of hope is really quite amazing.

I long for the day when homosexuality won't be an issue, and everyone who now stands against this civil right will look as outdated as George Wallace standing on the school steps keeping James Hood from entering the University of Alabama because he was black.

And to wrap this post up, I thought I'd post this silly little ditty about one of our favorite cult movies... Please to enjoy!

THAT'S A BERET! IT'S FROM EUROPE..

So one of my favorite series to air this year was Tracey Ullman's STATE OF THE UNION on SHOWTIME.  Did anybody else watch it as obsessively as I did??

I realize it was on, like, months ago... But I recently caught a replay of an interview with her from NPR and it brought me back to how truly transcendent, profound and simply epic this recent experiment in social studies turned out to be... I'm looking forward to seeing this series come back for another season... Especially since soooo much has happened since its finale!!

So y'all should know by know that I'm rooting for my girl LINDSAY to fully realize a comeback, so the news that she may appear in the upcoming CHARLES MANSON BIOPIC was good to hear...

But almost as soon as we heard she'd been green-lit for the project, it seems that they felt she was too much of a liability... Oh well... When the timing's right you'll get your's, girl!! I believe in you!! ;)

And by now I'm sure we've all heard of the endless public appearances that one of SACHA BARON COHEN's many alter-egos, BRUNO, has been performing lately, partly as promotion for his upcoming film and partly to gather footage.!!

So obvz it goes unsaid how excited I am for this movie to come out!!  I don't think I've had the true, organic, genuine LOL's in a theater since I saw BORAT, so this project will have a lot to live up to!!

So this movie looked like it was going to be amazing, and I'm dying (LOL... Get it?) to finally go check it out already!!

Zombie Strippers anyone?  I'm loving me some JENNA JAMESON more and more each day!! Has anybody else had the chance to see it??  I'd love to hear what you think if you came away loving it as much as I think I would...

WHAAAAATT?!?!?! Is this news regarding a possible feature-length theatrical release of THE HILLS for real?!!?

This would be almost too much to handle.  But lord knows I’ll be lining up outside for this!!

So 2 of my favorite DIVAS from the 90s, MADONNA and JANET, came back with a vengeance this year (some more than others... MADONNA's personal life fell apart while her concert killed... JANET seemed to be holding it together emotionally, but we all know how her concert tour turned into a disaster...)  At any rate, I came across this hot mash up on the YOUTUBES and I thought I'd share:

Hottest mash-up this spring!  Loves it!  Anyways, on that note...

That's all.

I CAN REALLY STAY ON MY KNEES A VERY LONG TIME.

So some of my favorite peeps have been making the rounds of late and I thought I'd just give 'em all a quick shout-out and some mad props. (God I'm white...)

... Which is prolly why I lurrve-lurrrve-lurrrrve me some PAUL RUDD!! Every time he stops by THE DAILY SHOW it just turns into one big cute-fest and this time around didn't disappoint at all!!

Even though I'm not planning on making time to see ROLE MODELS anytime soon (despite the presence of SEANN WILLIAM SCOTT himself rounding out this comedic duo along with my boy PAUL), I still love me some of these 2 boys!! (And I'd die to find out whether the rumors about STIFLER and his long-term male "roommate" who share a mortgage in STUDIO CITY have any weight to them... Le sigh...)

Did anybody catch the h-a-w-t-ness himself, DANIEL CRAIG, on REGIS AND KELLY the other week as he was making the press rounds for QUANTUM OF SOLACE??

Seriously, this 5 minute frothy morning interview pulled me in way more than the 2 hour hot mess of a film that QUANTUM OF SOLACE was. At any rate, he is my secret husband and I am now 5-years obsessed with his HOTNESS!!

HOLY SHIT! Hopefully y'all took part in the moment of history that occurred in the one and only JEANNE BICE made a surprise appearance on THE SOUP!!

If you haven't been following along the epic love/hate relationship that exists between JEANNE and JOEL MCHALE... Well, then, you're just too late... But for those who've been clued in, this definitely was a sight to behold!

Just thought I'd put that out there... Gotta get outta here and to the gym. Kisses.

DRY SHEETS, ICE CREAM, JELLY BEANS... THREE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS!

So how do we feel about this recent season of DEXTER?? Overall, I'm loving some of what they've been doing but not really feeling a lot of where the show seems to be heading. Everything about it just feels like its going through such a heavy third-season slump... First thing's first however: the new guy (DESMOND HARRINGTON) is bloody gorgeous!! Shady drug dealer past?!? Yum!! My biggest beef, however, has to do with getting JIMMY SMITS in on the action is distracting.

I can’t help but feel that it looks a little COUSIN OLIVERish to me… But as soon as things start picking up and the work immerses itself in revolving around this genius creation of a protagonist, I'm hoping that the rough edges will fade away and the show will remain as addictive as ever.

And luckily the production team will have some more time to find their groove again and get things back on track as they're now saying the show's been renewed for at least 2 more seasons!!

So as seems to be the trend this season... the recent installment of THE AMAZING RACE (long one of my favorite shows ever!), seems to kind of be in a slump too.  I mean the show is still great, the production quality and precision is all still there, but this year's group of contestants is kinda blah.  There is however one huge exception! And he comes in the form of one DALLAS IMBIMBO!! Love love love!!

Yeah, he has a reeeeally hot story behind him so check it out, yo!

I was happy that HOOPZ won, she was kinda the one I was rooting for but I did find it odd that nobody has seemed to notice how dramatically different she's been looking these days!! Does anybody know what's up with that?!?!

So it can pretty much go unsaid that I was pretty into the most recent incarnation of the now legendary REAL WORLD/ROAD RULES challenges, THE ISLAND.

My heart went out to ROBIN more than ever this time around! I felt so sorry for her :( I just like her... And my boy JONNY BANANAS fuckin' cracked my shit up!! Who that misogyny would be so funny!! ("YOU DUMB BITCH!!") What a performance!

*Ugh… So, I hate to say this but… I have to agree with PEREZ on this one...  At least we die-hards can count on yet another season of  THE HILLS!!

LOL! It sounds like AUDRINA and gang are gonna go rogue!

So the new season of ENTOURAGE started off kinda rocky but somewhere around the recent JOSHUA TREE shrooming episode (one of their best episodes in the past 2 seasons! The gay house party at ARI’s while he’s having a bad trip in JOSHUA TREE?!? Brilliant!) it definitely started to come back to its rhythm.

We needed that episode. It reminded us why we watch this show!

I gotta give a completely gratuitous shout-out to IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA. This joint just keeps going strong.

Both the recent take on the Liberty bell story along with the one when CHARLIE writes a play were particularly LOL-inducing.

And speaking of shows that have managed to avoid their third or fourth season slumps, THE OFFICE continues to just blow me away. Somehow, miraculously, the premise simply never tires!! How much longer can this continue on?

Adding AMY RYAN to the cast was a brilliant risk! I've been watching her closely for a few years now and unlike JIMMY SMITS addition to DEXTER, she fits in seamlessly and only contributes what could be a dying horse into a newly recharged stallion!

A'ight!! So that's my TV fix. Phew! Just had to get that outta my system ;)

I DON'T BLINK! THAT'S A HUGE PART OF FASHION...

So probably one of my TOP 5 MOMENTS from this past CIRCUS of an ELECTION was the news that HUSTLER was going to rush together a XXX take on the SARAH PALIN mystique entitled, WHO’s NAILIN PAYLIN. You can watch some fun little new clips covering this post-everything phenomenon and link to all kinds of clips and PG-13 footage from the movie below.

I gotta say... The fantasy of two drunk RUSSIANS running out of gas in front of my house and coming in for refuge and a bangin' tag team is pretty damn HOT!!

Speaking of hot news... YESSSS!! MEN ON A MISSION is back again for 2009 and releasing yet another calendar in spite of everything!!

Ugh, but after learning about their latest intimidations and threats to "discipline"... I just gotta say, I am so so so over the Mormon church!! Blah!!

OK, so we all saw these pix all over the internet a few weeks back right?

Damn you MILEY!! Why do you get to have everything?!? I want to be invited over for some homoerotic man-boy play too!!

So as we rush through the last quarter of the year towards the end of it all, some great new music keeps popping up. Sometimes a song is just fun and gets you moving, makes you feel good and happy about your day, and other times these songs turn into a pop-culture GOLIATH waiting to be unleashed on us all. This new stroke of geniusity from THE BEYONCE FACTORY OF UNTOUCHABLE FEROCITY is more an example of the latter...

I love the feeling of first glimpsing a piece of pop art that you instantaneously recognize is going to be iconic in its overall being. You know that spoofs, take-offs, mash-ups and tributes are frantically being pieced together all over the country as we sit here now.

So it should also be well noted that I am pretty secretly obsessed with NEPHI, UTAH's very own BRANDON FLOWERS and most of what THE KILLERS put out there. Their new single from their long awaited album does anything but disappoint. And while they have yet to release an official video for this single, I did find this fascinating amateur bit that really just did the trick for me.

Isn't that gorgeous? And so simple and familiar yet somehow wholly original and profound. Loves it!

THANKFULLY MY HERPES IS IN REMISSION RIGHT NOW...

Now that fall’s here I’m going to try to get back into my movie groove.  I am so so far behind!!  I used to be able to catch 3-4 movies a week, especially back when I was with SUNDANCE or gap yearing it in VEGA$$.  Since I’ve moved to LA, however, it seems like it’s always been the last thing on my list of priorities.  I’ve been able to catch up though lately thanks to all the jetting around on VIRGIN AMERICA, JET BLUE and BRITISH AIRWAYS I’ve been doing.  (Love these airlines! Their entertainment systems offer so much to do i.e., on demand movies, closed circuit basic cable, Ethernet, chatting, music videos, a la carte playlists) that they always make a cross country or TRANSatlantic flight fly on by, if you will.  So throughout my upcoming posts, I'll be inserting quick little responses to some of the joints I've recently caught.  For a little bit they won't be as fresh and exclusive as when I was actually working for the festival circuit or whatever, but eventually I'll get caught up to speed enough that I can be a little more immediate with my responses.

So I had been looking forward to catching FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL since first catching wind of their clever add-campaign and learning what the cast's line-up would be, so I was thrilled to finally catch up to it on a recent flight to NYC after a number of complimentary cocktails.
Alright, so it had slipped my mind that one of the many loves of my life, KRISTEN BELL, but as soon as she popped on the screen I was transfixed.  Once you throw in a pre-stateside invasion RUSSELL BRAND mixed with those aforementioned cocktails... Well... suffice it to say, I was livvvvving!! First thing's first, I'm loving me some JUDD APATOW for throwing in all of those gratuitous full frontal male schlong shots.  I love that in this film, we follow the protagonist to Turtle Bay (a place that I know oh-too-well) to get away and they even gave it a name drop!!! LAIE POINT (another huge part of my coming of age) also plays a pivotal part in this film, so of course I was all kinds of overcome with the warm and fuzzies.  Come to think of it, I had no idea it was going to be, like, a HAWAII movie.  I couldn't help but think that is was what 50 FIRST DATES could've been had it not been so damn HOLLYWOOD.  The rest of the ensemble cast, including MILA KUNIS (who’s finally growing as an actress, this is probably her best work to date), SUPERBAD's JONAH HILL and a few other recognizable faces and fringey actors really round out the piece and capture the script's intent and tone perfectly.  There are definitely no sore thumbs in this one!  Not to mention, the original music used throughout was genius.  Anybody who's seen it, can't forget RUSSELL BRAND singing INSIDE YOU, the gorgeous Hawaiian version of NOTHING COMPARES TO YOU and of course the bizaarely strange VAMPIRE musical JASON SEGEL's character creates.  All of this comes together to create a solid, genuinely funny musical. (B)

I also recently caught THE BANK JOB on a flight.

What intrigued me the most about this film was the following question: What makes this movie JASON STATHAM’s only positively reviewed film in the past few years? I’m not sure if he’s actually carried a well received film ever. (IMDB?) Anyways, I had a really hard time switching gears into this one. Ultimately it just felt like I was sitting through one of countless many bank heist movies, with maybe a few special touches.. One of the biggest shortcomings was not using the film's setting, LONDON, to its full advantage. Instead it comes off as drab and non-descript, which I guess seems to be a common consensus amongst local Londoners... (I couldn't disagree more. If you know me, you know I hold LONDON as like seriously my favorite city in the world. Point is, it's probably an attempt to capture the mood in that city during the story’s time frame, but it also takes away from the intrigue. The joint’s final act does build to a satisfying end, but it’s a lot of work getting there. (B-)

I was also recently on a recently long flight without anything to do, so I decided to sit through the well reviewed KUNG FU PANDA.

Honestly, maybe I'm just a crabby-paddy, but it really just seems like we’ve seen this movie before. While the animation is undoubtedly top notch and fine crafted, the rest of the thing just feels so rehashed. Big celebrity ensemble voice cast that doesn’t really add or take away from anything. This trend has been around for the past few years and at this point it just so blatantly feels like a ploy to get people into theaters that it’s really hard to engage. (C+)

That's all.

NOT A SECOND RATE QUEEN GETTING KICKS WITH A CROWN...

SO this is all just way to big of a deal to not post!!!

Let us all remain strong and resilient during these trying times. :(
