SEXXY SAN DIEGO PRIDE

So right off the heels of returning from the cruise, we headed down to San Diego for what traditionally has always been my favorite, can't miss PRIDE weekend of the year. Well, maybe I was still too drained from the cruise but it ended up being a pretty draining DEBBIE DOWNER kind of a weekend. Of course, being on the scene of this crazy circumstance didn't do much to help my mood. All in all, it's always nice to spend a few days down in SD. It's such a gorgeous, sumptuous city and the boys just seem hotter there, but there was just too much of a mess going on around us so it was hard to just let loose. It was nice to be back in town and spend some time with ANDREW, MATTY and  a few other friends but I don't think I'll be able to see SD PRIDE through the rosey lenses I used to... We did get some fun shots, however. Here are some of my favorites.

CHEYNE'S LAS VEGA$$ WEEKEND

I've mentioned last week how we had all gone, and even hinted at the big and exciting going's on surrounding the trip but I haven't had the chance to really post about the weekend. I'm going through all of my pictures from the summer and trying to compile all the amazing memories into one place. Here are some of my fave images from the weekend. There's going to be enough said out there about this blunder-of-all-blunders so I don't really need to add any more gaseous materials into our atmosphere. But I will give a shout-out to friend and comedian, JIM DAVID, who almost instantly responded to the news this morning by posting this dead-on response to the whole debacle up on the HUFF POST. Holla!!

Anywayz... How annoying!! Of course the RNC would pull a stunt like this almost 12 hours after the close of what was an amazing, memorable, uplifting, intelligent and progressive week in American politics. PS: This is perfect timing to have BILL MAHER back on the telly!!!! I can't wait to hear what he has to say tonight. This month (and especially today) has been soooo crazy, he won't even have to make up any jokes. Just relating the facts alone should bring plenty o' laughs.

Umm... I don't get it... Is there something wrong with being addicted to sex??... I'm not quite sure what the problem is here... Anyway, I always thought DD was absolute yum's. Maybe he should go back to shooting some RED SHOE DIARIES to help him process his addiction...


Le sigh... As if we needed any more reason to be obsessed with HUNTER PARRISH.

Girl, I didn't know she could sing too!! I've been wanting to see SPRING AWAKENING for more than a year now and this news just makes me want to see it more!! I can't wait til this show finally makes it to LA. Too bad HUNTY won't be in that run... :(


This new HILLS-inspired TV GUIDE is super cute!

How catchy!! Get it?!? TEAM HEIDI and TEAM LAUREN?!? Except these days it's like there all splitting up into all kinds of different teams... Hmm... Where will this masterfully crafted DICKENSIAN novel take us next?!? 


So have we all been catchin' the train-wreck soft porn that is I LOVE MONEY over on VH1??!!

Brilliant!! It's basically a REAL WORLD/ROAD RULES challenge for all of those FLAVOR OF LOVE/NEW YORK/ROCK OF LOVE left overs!! I was surprised to see 12 PACK get the boot this week, that doesn't leave much eye candy for me :( Oh well, at least he can get back to his BF, HEAT.


Speaking of trashy telly... I'm not obsessssing over NEW YORK GOES TO HOLLYWOOD, like I would when she was the elimination queen of trash TV, but this recent incarnation has had its fun moments. What I am loVVVVVVing however, is the opening theme by LITTLE JACKIE!!

So we're finally staying in town this weekend and enjoying all that LA has to offer. Still, it promises to be a whirlwind. We have dinner tonight with BRIAN and COLLIER at SAINT FELIX, then a crazy night planned for EAGLE or MJ's. Saturday night we got dinner with DEBBY at FOXTAIL , which is quickly becoming my new favorite restaurant in town! After dinner, we have to head over to catch SYLVIA in a version of MACBETH over in HOLLYWOOD. Sunday we have the MUSIC TO WEAR tour to fuss over with ANDREW CHRISTIAN and DJ KIMBERLY S. Monday, however, is all about LAGUNA LAGUNA LAGUNA!!! I prolly won't be posting much over the weekend as LABOR DAY is kinda sacred for me and it's one of the first weekends since early JUNE that I'll be able to stay in town and enjoy LA all summer, but I'm sure to have plenny o' pix up by next week! Plus, with KATRINA II heading straight for NEW ORLEANS and what's sure to be an all out assault on that poor PTA mom, there's going to be plennnnnny to post about next week.

I HAVE FOUR DIFFERENT EMOTIONS...

Oh, well, this is kinda sad news to come across this morning...

I haven't really been following FBorFW the past few years, but I used to have this need to religiously follow their saga. I always respected the strip as something different from the normal SUNDAY FUNNIES fare. For some reason, it always feels like somebody has died when a comic strip comes to an end :(


On a brighter note however, news of M.I.A.'s unretirement was music to my ears!!!


Hell yeah!! It would've been way too hard of a crime for her to have given us so little. I hope this is the return of M.I.A. for a long, long time to come!


Finally!! Finally!! A SEXXXY picture of our hero du jour MICHAEL PHELPS!!

And not only is he hosting the season premiere of SNL now, but it looks like he'll be sharing the screen with our boys on ENTOURAGE as well (which is already coming back at us this SEPT. 7th!!!) Get it, girl, get it!!

If you haven't heard already, HOMEGIRL's releasing her own fashion line and she's in VEGA$$ this week hocking her wares at the MAGIC FASHION CONVENTION. Well, apparently our girl took her time to revel in all that my former hometown has to offer cuz she has definitely had better mornings than the one she was having today on her high-larious interview with local 94.1FM!!! I love her, but she's really not a smart girl.. Aaaww....

LOLOLOL!! 'Nuf said!

FIRE ISLAND ASCENDING

So I've been wanting to go to FIRE ISLAND, gay mecca and overall slice of heaven, for a few years now. I finally got the chance to go this month and I instantly fell in love with the place.

One of ANDREW's clients and my good friend KIMBERLY was booked to spin one of the parties that weekend so she brought along her girl TANYA (who I secretly have a crush on ;)

It was a good night to fly JETBLUE across company as they were playing the US WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS finals. I kept ordering cocktails (you know what they say, 1 in the air = 3 on the ground ;) and I subsequently found myself getting very passionate about the way the whole night unfolded!

So we landed at JFK and went into MANHATTAN for a little bit. Then we headed out towards the HAMPTONS to catch the ferry over.

The feeling in the air on FIRE ISLAND is almost indescribable. I am obsessed with how everything's laid out. There are no cars allowed during the summer so everybody gets around on an intricate system of boardwalks. Everybody carts little wagons around and it's so cute and eco-friendly. I actually found out that all of the lil boardwalks on FIRE ISLAND are maintained by the New York state highway department!

So KIMBERLY spun the SATURDAY pool party and it went off!!

We got to spend most of the weekend with our good friends GUY and ROBERT (ROBERT's pictured here on the left.) KIMBERLY and TAWNYA were in a house with this gorgeous HUNGARIAN who worked with ARMANI EXCHANGE. 

So SUNDAY was the ASCENSION party on the beach. This kind of stands as one of the culminating events of the summer. The venue was unreal.

So needless to say I am in love with FIRE ISLAND and I'm so excited that we already have a place confirmed there for next summer as well!! It's going to be incredible!! Especially since OBAMA will be back in office by then!! Hey-ohh!!!

VISITING THE 'RENTS IN PDX.

So last weekend I took the time to run up to Portland to visit my parents in their new condo.  They've actually been living there since January, but my schedule's been so crazy with travel elsewhere, that I haven't been able to head up to the Northwest.

I got to spend all of SUNDAY AFTERNOON with one of my most favorite people in the world, HEATHERLY OSTERGARD.

Portland is such a gorgeous, sumptuous city. It's so clean, green (literally and politically) and the air smells so fresh and clean, like it's being passed through a huge filter in the sky or something.

My parents live in a carbon neutral community. The energy in Portland is so amazing right now. It's like a living model proof positive that a progressive, left leaning way of doing things can actually improve the quality of life.
