So I've been wanting to go to FIRE ISLAND, gay mecca and overall slice of heaven, for a few years now. I finally got the chance to go this month and I instantly fell in love with the place.
One of ANDREW's clients and my good friend KIMBERLY was booked to spin one of the parties that weekend so she brought along her girl TANYA (who I secretly have a crush on ;)
It was a good night to fly JETBLUE across company as they were playing the US WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS finals. I kept ordering cocktails (you know what they say, 1 in the air = 3 on the ground ;) and I subsequently found myself getting very passionate about the way the whole night unfolded!
So we landed at JFK and went into MANHATTAN for a little bit. Then we headed out towards the HAMPTONS to catch the ferry over.
The feeling in the air on FIRE ISLAND is almost indescribable. I am obsessed with how everything's laid out. There are no cars allowed during the summer so everybody gets around on an intricate system of boardwalks. Everybody carts little wagons around and it's so cute and eco-friendly. I actually found out that all of the lil boardwalks on FIRE ISLAND are maintained by the New York state highway department!
So KIMBERLY spun the SATURDAY pool party and it went off!!
We got to spend most of the weekend with our good friends GUY and ROBERT (ROBERT's pictured here on the left.) KIMBERLY and TAWNYA were in a house with this gorgeous HUNGARIAN who worked with ARMANI EXCHANGE. 
So SUNDAY was the ASCENSION party on the beach. This kind of stands as one of the culminating events of the summer. The venue was unreal.
So needless to say I am in love with FIRE ISLAND and I'm so excited that we already have a place confirmed there for next summer as well!! It's going to be incredible!! Especially since OBAMA will be back in office by then!! Hey-ohh!!!
