So last weekend I took the time to run up to Portland to visit my parents in their new condo. They've actually been living there since January, but my schedule's been so crazy with travel elsewhere, that I haven't been able to head up to the Northwest.
I got to spend all of SUNDAY AFTERNOON with one of my most favorite people in the world, HEATHERLY OSTERGARD.
Portland is such a gorgeous, sumptuous city. It's so clean, green (literally and politically) and the air smells so fresh and clean, like it's being passed through a huge filter in the sky or something.
My parents live in a carbon neutral community. The energy in Portland is so amazing right now. It's like a living model proof positive that a progressive, left leaning way of doing things can actually improve the quality of life.
