I TELL YOU, THEY DO! THEY DO!

So how excited are we that Real Time with Bill Maher is back on the air?!

Seriously, the clip above from last week really just pulls together the events of the last few months since he went on hiatus in a nutshell!! What a crazy time for Real Time to not be around.. We need you Bill now more than ever!!

ZOMFG, you guys!! So for the past few year's, I've always looked forward to this time.. The time when the most recent sneak-peak trailer for the forthcoming season of The Hills leaks to the internets. Well, according to some reports, this may or may not be the last season we'll be treated to the now notorious and infamous drams that revolutionized the way narrative is communicated televisually (again, in another life, I would have devoted my master's thesis to this show..)

OK, how epic does this final season look? Heidi and Lauren reunite?! Brody and Spencer throw fist to cuff's?! And c'mon.. The whole premise is framed around a psychic who gives LC a reading on her life (which has been documented on the national stage on the internet, television and magazines for the past 5 years now!!) The genius of this all could entice me to go on for days, but I will just leave it at.. I'm settin' the ol' TiVo now!!

So with the attention towards Brothers & Sisters heating up and rumors circulating more and more of trouble-maker Balthazar Getty's looming exit from the show, the brilliant team of writers behind this Emmy winner (and one of the only hour-long scripted network dramas I can bare to sit through) have pulled together a 2-hour long network movie "event" that will reportedly take the show off on a whole new trajectory.

I've only made it a couple scenes in so far but I'm loving how they've pulled this all together.

UPDATE: OK, so I just got all the way through it and I am speechless. So so so well done!! If you've seen it, the whole birth / death (?) sequence between Kitty's new baby and Robert possibly being lost backed to Coldplay's Fix You is exactly the contemporary pop emotional manipulation that hits me to the core!

Somehow I missed all the hoopla leading up to the release of Sober House on VH1 and now after having caught a few clips... I have to admit, if I were to get hooked on this show, I might have to quit my day job because I'd never want to leave the house!

Unlike Celebrity Rehab, which was impossible to bare (an amazing show but for this viewer personally I just took it too raw, too difficult to get through), Sober House brings it all together!! And I frikin' live for Mary Carey and she is sooo at her best in this vehicle... I'll have to put it on my to-do list to save for a rainy day.

So have you all heard how they've just announced that one of the best entities from the 20th century, the cast of 'Seinfeld' is now set to appear on the upcoming season of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' (which has been long, long, long overdue to return from it's last season IMHO!!)

Too bad we'll have to wait all the way until the fall but once it finally gets here.. Wow! This set up has bri-zill-iance written all over it!

So we were down in Puerto Vallarta, for Andrew's __ b-day libations and I've gotta say, our home away from home is quickly starting to grow on us so much that it's starting to make LA feel more home away from homey instead.  I've posted some fun pix from the weekend below and you can check out the rest over here on myface. ;)

We got back into town on Tuesday, and threw a WeHo celebration the next night.

Yeah.. Being back with all our LA peeps reminded us why we keep coming back to reality.. The rest of the pix are posted over here on my myface, so check 'em out if you want. We're lucky to have such good people in our lives. Besos a todos!!

Did y'all catch RuPaul (aka Andre Charles..) on The View Wednesday morning?

Holla!! While the production values of her Drag Race reality competition on Logo could definitely use a face lift.. I'll be watching this thing through to the season finale... I mean at this point, it's really just become some kind of duty to the community or something.. We all have to do our part.

So exciting times, y'all!! The long, long anticipated premiere of Watchmen finally premieres this weekend and I gotta say, as much as this graphic novel's transformation to the Cineplexes offers much, it's really all just coming down to checkin' out Billy Crudup's giant, blue p33n!!.

While early reviews so far have proven to be rather mixed, I'm still going to join the masses to take in all the hot fuss.  And with the promise of plenny of gratuitious full frontal male nudity.. Something tells me I'm gonna be at least somewhat satisfied with the final product.

So this weekend's going to be a busy one.. Tonight we actually have a lot to catch up with around the house, etc.. Maybe we'll swing by MJ's as it's going to be one of the last week's they're featuring their Friday night event, Swallow.. But tomorrow we're going to try to get up and out early to get down to Anaheim for a whirlwind day at Disney because we can and it's free.. (We are in a recession after all!!) Saturday night we're going to be featuring the Reflex event, Lord of the Drums which we're looking forward to cuz it's been a while since we've done something circuity-esque. Sunday should be pretty kick back for the most part, but we will be stopping by Charity Bingo at MJ's on Sunday sponsored by The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence which always promises to be a good time and then maybe we'll brave the mob scenes for a Watchmen screening or maybe not.. Who knows, all that we do know is life is pretty good, all things considered.

That's all.
